The Digital Police Project of PTLB (Perry4Law Techno Legal Base) is a pioneering Techno-Legal Initiative aimed at combating cyber threats and enhancing digital security in India and beyond. Launched under the umbrella of PTLB Projects LLP, this project has gained significant recognition for its innovative approach to law enforcement technology.
On September 28, 2019, the Digital Police Project was officially recognised as a Tech Startup by the MeitY Startup Hub (MSH), under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). This acknowledgment highlights its role in advancing techno-legal solutions for cybersecurity. The project’s profile on the MeitY Startup Hub can be viewed here. Additionally, PTLB Projects LLP received startup recognition from the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), paving the way for further growth and collaborations. For more details on this recognition, refer to the official announcement on the Perry4Law Blogs.
The primary goal of the Digital Police Project is to assist national and international stakeholders in addressing a wide range of cyber threats, including cyber crimes and cyber attacks, social engineering scams, phishing and spear phishing, as well as debit and credit card frauds. Beyond reactive measures, the project actively promotes cyber law and cyber security awareness among the public. It supports broader techno-legal efforts by PTLB to strengthen India’s digital infrastructure against evolving threats. The project integrates with other PTLB initiatives, such as online education and skills development programs through managed portals, virtual campuses, and centers of excellence in fields like cyber law, cyber security, and techno-legal expertise.
Digital Police leverages the expertise of PTLB, which has been developing techno-legal projects since 2002 under Perry4Law Organisation (P4LO). In 2019, PTLB Projects LLP was incorporated to streamline these efforts, enabling better implementation and management. Key features include collaboration with techno-legal startups and projects within the PTLB ecosystem, tools and resources for fighting cyber crimes in real-time, and educational outreach to build awareness and skills in cybersecurity. The project is open to global expansion and invites collaboration and investment proposals from interested stakeholders. For inquiries, contact PTLB via their official channels.
